Switch Ski & Surf Shop has started off as a physical store and later on expanded their offer through the online store. The Magento platform, on which the online store was originally developed, did not meet customer’s requirements, due to its lack of product add option, with variations of sizes and colors, but also due to an inconsistency between existing products in stock and those displayed on the website, but also, most importantly, due to its permanent dependency on a programmer.
Our challenge was to find a solution tailored to the size and diversity of stock products within the store, but also to come up with features that were more manageable by the customer.
The solution was to use Danish Dynamicweb platform, a stable, mature platform, with features constantly updated. We managed to offer to the client a platform adaptable for any size of online store, with minimal costs and the possibility of using a rented license. In addition, by using SAS solution (Software as Service) platform-specific, the client was bound to receive the license, hosting, technical support and data update in return for fixed monthly costs.
The result was an online store with up to date functionalities and operationes, more manageable for the client. We achieved better control on the overall operations, better maintenance costs for the site and fewer worries for the client in terms of his online presence ; we also earned him more time for overall business management.
